This is why I leave a bottle of Bourbon on the edit desk. :silly: :silly: Last night was Four Roses as I was editing a wedding Proposal.

I like the idea of a postproduction OS, I think that is exactly what Apple was aiming for with FCPX. The main advantage of FCPX though, in my opinion, is that it is made for the creative mind not so much for the technical mind. Avid can be used and has been used by creative people obviously, but it was built for engineers, and it looks that way. It's a very powerful app, but sometimes it feels like driving a 1969 Moon rover on the streets of London during the rush hour. There are features on it that might have been useful on the Moon in 1969 but not so much here and today... Keeping the mind concentrated on the creative process instead of the technical process, thinking about what and why to do with the footage and not so much about how to do it is ultimately the single greatest goal of an editing tool, and FCPX is, I think, the closest to achieving that.

If it was made by Apple, I'd assume so! HA!

Don't give these guys any credence. They're the same ones who were postulating the rumour of a MacPro and ProApps focused event in November.

Read back thru a couple of their rumour articles and you'll quickly realize their "rumours" have no merit.

They make the claim that they know this, but they don't say how they know this. That's is suspicious, total speculation. They may not ship until Jan, but they'll be taking orders, I'm pretty sure. I'm not giving up hope yet! Another Tuesday is only 4 days away...

That little story doesn't make sense. Look at this sentence:

"Upstream supply chain rumors from the usual, and unreliable, Digitimes had been completely absent regarding the new Mac Pro."

According to that sentence, there is no information on the MacPro, and therefore it is delayed?

I need to start my own rumor, I just don't have enough imagination.

Here goes....

"Abobe to Buy Apple for $500 Billion.

Adobe has been running after Apple ever since Postscript was made popular in the 1980's, and the many programmers that have jumped ship to the iPhone maker. Now it seems that Adobe finally has the cash. By pooling together each one of the 10,000 employees 2 credit card they secured have gathered, well... $400 Million. They hope the Apple board won't notice that they are $499.6 Billion short.

Though reliable sources are unable to confirm this, it is hopeful that soon they will. If not be sure to tweet this rumor so we can get famous."

Told you, I'm a lame rumor maker.

The better the analysis, the better options available for tracking points…

Wow. Someone finally picked up the story.

This rumour has gone 360 degrees- since I'm the source of the original pricing info. Nice to see some corroborating info from other business clients.

I just had a chat with a local Taiwan buyer for Apple and she mentioned to me without me bring the topic up that the MacPro will begin to be sold next Tuesday. 17th Taiwan time. Real inside info and 100% cool!

However, this buyer now has to work on a fix because two days ago one Apple supplier in Southern Taiwan was caught dumping heavy metals in the underground drinking water...
