I'll bet FCPX drops same day so Apple can use the updated OpenCL coding for eye-popping Multi-GPU benchmarks. I also think there will be some kind of update or integration with Aperture so Apple can reach a broader range of creative pros than just FCP-X reaches. I'm also predicting it will be a full but low new purchase price and no upgrade pricing, muck like we saw with Logic X. This might be offset a bit with some kind of Aperture integration which in itself may add value to the purchase.
See thats where Apple gets you. It would really make more since to release at the beginning of December.

Mayor: What do you mean, "biblical"?
Ray Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath-of-God type stuff!
Venkman: Exactly.
Stanz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the sky! Rivers and seas boiling!
Spengler: Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes!
Winston: The dead rising from the grave!
Venkman: Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!

Vlastavision wrote: Wait a minute, why are we that sure that Apple will launch FCPX update on Tuesday? It may easily be any day of the week... I know they've launched feature updates on Tuesdays but they've also launched some versions on Thursdays and 10.0.2 on Wednesday...
It's not a matter of "sure" or not- it's a question of playing the stats.
Apple have released updates to FCPX on days other than Tuesday, but they've also NEVER released a "feature" update on anything BUT a Tuesday. Logic Pro X was also released on a Tuesday.
4 out of 4 feature updates have been released on Tuesday. While this doesn't guarantee that a feature update will NEVER come any other day- right now there's no reason NOT to believe it won't be released on Tuesday.
Until the pattern changes, I'll bet on the pattern.
I think that we'll see OS X 10.9.1 on Wednesday or Thursday this week, and FCPX 10.1.0 + Mac Pro on the following Tuesday if not at the same time as 10.9.1.

For this year-
Monday, June 10th - MacBookAir (but this was WWDC keynote so maybe an exception)
Tuesday, September 24 - iMac
Tuesday, October 22- MacBookPro
Apple has a good reason for date that chose for the release. We'll get there soon enough.
