FCPX 10.0.6 Pre Release Discussion Thread

Well it seems like the video has been pulled or at least made to be private.

I started to view the video from the provided link, then closed the window.
When I went back 5 minutes later to check something Vimeo informed me that the video was private and I needed to enter a password.

So it seems that the assumption was correct and Red Giant was instructed to take down the video and either redo the video or wait until FCPX 10.0.6 is released.

I scrutinized the video pretty closely while it was up, and I think the previous posts have mined all the gold that there was to be had.

It's sort of interesting that there wasn't more UI differences to be seen. You would figure that whatever functionality Dual Viewers and Audio Editing bring would be represented in the UI somewhere, that is unless they are accessed exclusively thru hot keys and the program menu.

I'm not going to get my hopes up too high. Besides, there'll be lots of interesting stuff for Apple to show us today.

But if anyone thinks FCPX is going to make an appearance, I think they'll be sorely disappointed.

The video is now back up but now notice the startup splash screen now says 10.0.1.56?

That is odd. There've been a couple people posting around that they believe it WILL be released today. Nothing from anyone I know and trust though.

One might think that today would be a good day to release it given the number of eyeballs diverted to other things, the server won't be slammed as heavy with everyone downloading 10.0.6 at once. Apple doesn't think that way of course. Hmm maybe they'll have a screenshot of new 13" MacBookProRetina with FCPX on it.

Couldn't link the screenshot normally. Basically, Apple online store is closed for update.

Just a thought but if Apple is releasing a new iPad mini and FCPX has a share export function for devices could they be holding back so no one notices it as an option?

Scrubelicious made a vague remark in the "Actions for iPad" thread that I can only interpret to mean that he thinks ( or has knowledge) that some sort of iPad/FCPX connection coming... in some way... at some point...

I see the updates, but they're showing up as the old versions and the MacAppStore is telling me they're installed.

Yea for some reason it shows up as an update for me but it says 10.0.5 and says in stalled next to it?

I'm getting the exact same thing, looks like someone may have messed up.
