UI feels a lot snappier to me, when I open and close windows like inspector. In the File Menu, we can find a Library Properties option, which is pretty useful.

It is great. Now you can import clips directly from the finder to a keyword colection or its browser. Its pretty smart now.

Right cliking a marker shows a short but pretty useful contextual menu. Im not sure if this was already there in past version

I agree it's a good update. The added features are not very fancy, but they are extremely practical. The external proxy/optimized media feature is a huge improvement for our collaborative workflow and the Library Properties feature is a gem.

It is especially a very important update under the hood. Tons of bug fixes and highly increased speed, still some little quirks that will need ironing out in the next release but all in all very much the kind of update I had hoped for. The FCP X editing experience was already pretty good, now it is even better. Thank you, Apple.

Fcpxml is updated to 1.4. [strike]X2Pro does not seem to recognize it.[/strike] Hope there is a fix soon.

Fixed with X2Pro 2.3 update!

Great new feature! We can now skip that annoying warning when using files from one Library in another Library.

Now we can overwrite audio connected clips to the primary storyline with Alt - Cmd - Down Arrow. You couldnt before.

it's weird. I can overwrite one audio clips and not with others. Maybe its not a fully implemented option

It appears the performance issues with editing in compound clips is cleared up. I had a project that was crawling because of compound clips. Now working great.

It's weird. They've got rid of the third option "choose location" when you imported clips. Now you just have import to library and leave in place.

You modify the Media storage location for the Library first (in Library Properties) then it will import to the location.
