has anybody tried SOUNDFLOWER with macOsHS?

No app, it nests itself into the sysPrefs, to redirect audio (as commercial Loopback does) - so, I wouldn't be surprised when it does NOT work… Rarely using it, but handy…

Soundflower is great, especially when combined into multi-output devices. I have used it for years.
I have it installed in High Sierra.
I just did a very small test.
It appears to be working as fine as ever.

I'm itching to press the update button and get High... Sierra.
Did anyone see any improvements regarding the (small?) glitches when updating from 10.13 to 10.13.1?

I'm still on regular Sierra and trying the darnest to stay there until the new version of FCPX is released... but being an update junky, it's getting soooo hard to resist now... ;)

Luckily I'm mostly away from my broadband connection at the moment so that helps me resist! Don't want to use up all my mobile internet data ;)

I have a fresh install of High Sierra 10.13.1 and FCPX 10.3.4 and every time I load FCPX it looses all my settings like defaults, last library used, window placements and keyboard commands and shows me the what's new splash screen. has anyone else had this problem? is there a way to solve it?

Sounds like a permissions problem. Are you an admin? What’s the system configuratiin? Sounds like the preference file can’t be saved into the home library.

Yeah, I'm the only user on the mac and logged in as admin. it's a 2013 Mac Pro 6 core 3.5ghz with 32gb of ram and a 1tb ssd. all my video files are stored externally on a thunderbolt 2 G-Raid studio 8tb drive.
is there a way to reset permissions on High Sierra as disk utility doesn't give that as an option anymore.

Disk Utility didn't do permissions, that is done in the Get Info window for a drive (right-click, Get Info).
I know two other HS systems with this issue. I think it is HS compatibility, FCPX 10.4 should fix these bugs.

I just upgraded to High Sierra, updated FCPX to 10.3.4 and it's Horribly slow
Anyone have any suggestions?
I wish, right now, that I'd never "downgraded" to this new software

I have found High Sierra slow, it has plenty of errors, for example the youtube webpage when used under Safari Technology Preview 44, latest version, the left margin encroaches over the text and thumbnails.

The worst is the wifi keeps dropping if the screensaver is used, and even though all napping features are disabled, it does not stop the wifi on the mac from switching off..This does not happen on Sierra...

Overall High Sierra is a tad slower than any previous version of mac os I have used on this laptop, I have 2 partitions, Sierra and High Sierra, and Sierra is much "faster" and tends to not beachball as often as High Sierra..

Problem with Keysets /Controller MCS3 JLCooper has NOTHING to do with High Sierra. Thanks to fantastic support from JL Cooper problem solved.

Keysets shall never be imported to FCP X but used together with JL Coopers app and that app works with no problems with High Sierra.

welcoming myself to the forum! FCPX 10.3.4, here on HS 10.13.2 beta (i run all the public betas), and, except for a few crashes when using sliceX, final cut's been running great, and am pushing my macbook pro hard.

great to find this place! am pretty-new to FCP, currently editing a music video, going well, but... have questions (and will get to them soon).

meanwhile, just sharing my experience with high sierra...

another fix for Slowdown macbook pro 15 with Nvidia 750m on High Sierra:

1. Turn off Spotlight on system and work disk. (it can fix slowdown, a think because APFS has a problem)
2. Install Nvidia WEB driver and CUDA driver. for High Sierra 10.13.1 (build 17B1003) Nvidia driver 378.10.10.10.20.109 (work). Then in the settings switch to NVidia driver.

I have encountered issues formatting several external drives with disk utility in 10.13.1 and 10.13.2. Occurred with drives preformatted as FAT32 or NTFS that I intended to reformat in ExFAT or mac OS journaled. After few seconds of trying to reformat disk utility shows a message with something like this: "Process could not be completed as device has not enough memory". Issue occurred both on my iMac and MacBook Pro running on 10.13.1 (and now 10.13.2). But I managed to reformat all drives that had issues on another MacBook Pro running 10.12.x...
Anyone encountered a similar issue? And maybe found a solution?

Sierra on a 2014 macbook. High Sierra on a 2014 iMac. The iMac feels very sluggish using FCP X. Random beach balls, crashes, after re-opening sometimes the project is called ...NULL. Using it with a Thunderbolt g-raid.

Waveform syncing is significantly worse than in used to be.

This could be total coincidence, but Ive noticed that since High Sierra and FCP X 10.3.4 update that FCP X's accuracy is much lower. I have to spend a lot more time manually marking or moving clips to the slate clap to sync content. Before FCP X used to be pretty close, now it's more consistently way off. Granted every scene is deferent between shoots, but we're generally using the same equipment and same/similar environments when shooting.

It's actually rather surprising how the audio syncing has become so unreliable for us.

Also, the test sometimes disappears in the browser, but that was happening [I think] before High Sierra.

FcpX 10.4 and High Sierra

Psd "one layer file" with alpha turn into black image when imported in the app. If you save the .psd as .png : same thing

Multilayered psd and regular "plain image one layer" without alpha are not affected
