I want to be able to add keywords to clips from the timeline -- especially from within a multicam timeline. This would save me tons of time organizing multicam shoots.

More hints at a NAB-ish update?

If it's Yosemite-only it may indeed be called 10.2. However, the version number does not indicate in any way how big an update will be. 10.0.3 and 10.0.6 were major feature updates. 10.1 was Mavericks-only and besides the switch to Libraries it did not include many new features.

I hope they add the "make me a dry vodka martini" function at long last. Or the "telepathic interface" which I've been waiting a decade for. Geez...

The dry martini function is actually there. You have to enabale it in the secret preferences and then override the keys for overwrite insert and append edits all to the same key.

Yes, the damn snap function is always on when I want it off and off when I want it on! I want FCPX to know when I need it and activate it automatically!

And the Easy Brand Selection template needs improvement as well. Sometimes I want Stoli, sometime Grey Goose and, for the cheap clients, Svedka.

If they're not bringing back Bruce the Wonder Yak, I'm quitting and going to Premiere.

Things I am keen for:

- Simple Audio Only X-Dissolves
- More customisation in the UI
- Bit more organisational control with ROLES
- Big one: Provide the ability to display The Waveform and Vector Scopes at the same, damn time!
- Fix the Broadcast Safe Filter, so it actually can deliver broadcast safe, rather than through an adjustment layer.
- Be able to export Multi-Track Audio direct from FCPX for OP1a MXF File delivery.

hoping for the option to turn off clip labels so I can have a less noisy timeline.

Also would like to see the Yosemite Photos library relocated to the same area as the Final cut libraries

You mean see Photos in the FCP media browser? It's there already.

Yes I realize that, I just prefer it to be located in the same area as the other native libraries, as well as having video clips be skimmable.

You do have some options for labeling in the Timeline appearance menu, but not eliminating them entirely. I don't think any of the major NLE's allow for this.

In FCP X Photos appears in the media browser, just like iPhoto did. In FCP X you can see all your pictures at once. Or you can select Moments, Collections etc... and see all the pictures that are inside your selection.

In iMovie Photos appears in the Library browser. In iMovie you cannot see all your pictures at once. You can only select Moments, Collections etc... But you can skim through your selection to preview the photos that are inside.

As to clip labels, I agree with Marcus.

iMovie location seems more logical. Source media should be with source media :).

Perhaps they will consider this as well as a top level option to view all photos.
