Cast your mind back to April 2016. We published a short article about Sven Pape and how he planned to edit a feature film on FCPX live on the internet for everybody to watch. Well, the film is finished and Sven and his colleague Dustin Hughes presented about the feature "Flesh and Blood" on the Faster Together stage at NAB 2017.

A complete smorgasbord of tutorials in this roundup. Something for everybody from the basics in FCPX and Motion up to some advanced graphics building.

Michael Kammes is no stranger on FCP.co- We have even featured how he recorded his proposal in 3D and wedding in the first person POV on video! He also produces a web series called '5 Things" and here we present his live version from the LumaForge Faster Together stage at NAB 2017.

NAB 2017 was a blast! This year, LumaForge had the opportunity to host both the Faster, Together Stage at the Courtyard Marriott and our Workflow Suite on the 59th floor of the Encore hotel. We also participated in the FCPX Guru Gathering, the Colorist Mixer, the SuperMeet and even threw a party at the Encore.

We all copy and paste sections of timelines in Final Cut Pro X. Micha Blazer's discovery of a cheap app called Copy'em Paste turbocharges the CMD C & V keyboard shortcuts right in FCPX. It's a great find!

While we wait for the rest of the FCP X Tour videos from NAB to get posted, here’s a last but certainly not least video from the FCP X Tour Barcelona. We couldn’t publish it sooner because some of the projects mentioned were still under NDA at the time of the recording. We hope you will enjoy the video presentation, but first some background information:

In the first of our publications of the video presentations from the LumaForge Faster Together Stage, Michael Cioni talks about his and our relationships with Apple's products. A great 40 minutes of truth and observations. Grab a coffee, this is well worth watching and will get a lot of views.

Again, like 2016, most of the interesting news for Final Cut Pro users actually happened outside of the NAB show. Coremelt announced two new products that are in beta. Scribeomatic for automatic transcription of dialogue and Chromatic, a colour grading plugin with built-in tracking.

Every year, the prestigious Blanquerna School for Communication and International Relations in Barcelona prepares 1800 Spanish and international students for a professional career in Cinema and Television, Advertising, Communication, Journalism and International Relations. And they all work with Macs and Final Cut Pro X.

Two bits of good news. 3D and VR plugin developer Tim Dashwood has joined Apple. Not only is that good news for FCPX users, he has also made his existing plugin products free.
