But it´s only linear and it´s still some clicks and taps away...

Don't you use a transition for this?

1. Remove attributes - I find it kind of funny that this wasn't just automatically part of the addition of the "Paste Attributes" feature that was eventually added.
2. Drag Effect From Inspector to a clip in timeline. Essentially another, quicker way of copy and pasting attributes.
3. Markers on the actual timeline, not just on clips. Would be cool if you could click (wth a modifier?) and drag them to be moved somewhere else instead of having to delete and recreate new markers.

- A way to assign a keyboard shortcut to toggle between proxy/optimized media

Actually it has the same ease ins and outs as the audio fades.

Yes, this has been mentioned already, but I have some a big ideas about what it should look like.
Motion should be a fully-functional node-based 3-D compositing environment complete with modeling tools, full texturing capabilities, real-world physics, and particle systems.
(I want Fusion 8 and Resolve capabilities in my FCP X timeline.)

2. Scrolling Timeline
3. Roles-Based Audio Mixer
4. Remove Attributes
Basic stuff IMO.

I don´t think so.
Maybe I´m totally mistaken but there is no ease in or ease out with the opacity handles. You can achieve the behavior with keyframes but that´s not what was asked and what I was talking about.

Right click the line between keyframes. You're right, it does not work on the actual opacity handle though.

Warning pipe dream ahead: On the topic of Motion, does anyone have an opinion of folding it into X? Something along the lines of a compound clip with a selection on type of clip it will become (eg., Motion or compound), and stepping into it clips would be displayed within the Motion environment. Comps and environments etc. completed, step back out and the clip behaves in same manner as a typical compound in Project. Render and done. Would elevate X to a new level.
Thanks!

That's interesting. Unfortunately it only works between keyframes, it seems? So I have to open the clip with ctrl-v, then click the opacity triangle, then create two keyframes (but have to move the opacity handle in the beginning first to place a keyframe at the beginning) then I can make a different curve.
I wish there was opacity handles always available on all video clips just like there's always fade handles on audio clips.

For titles and attached clips I prefer to use opacity. Especially titles as they are turned into a secondary storyline and take up much more vertical space when a transition is added...Tom Wolsky wrote: • Faster way to do fade in/outs in video.
