No i am not !
Neither my partners are...

I am tired to wait for importing footage , graphics etc for hours !

I am tired not to be able to make some graphics without exproting movies to after effects , import them in Ae - make the effects , export back , import them in Avid ....
Now, i can do what i want with Motion 5 .... EASY !

I am tired no to be able to import H264 from tapeless media...

I dont use EDL , XML etc.

FCPX is not for prime time, but is better in many ways... and it will be ready soon.

That is a great attitude towards FCPX, After using it for a while I can tell you that it has some great features. Not everything is there yet but it is really fast. I cant wait til I can use my matrox card in FCPX but right now its being used for personal and simple projects only. But I do like it.

I can't wait til it is ready for Prime Time and has all the missing features that everyone wants.

Re: Two words to describe FCPX... 25 Jun 2011 20:26 #238

Im sorry, but it is a disgrace. FCP has been with us for the best part of 11years and the last two they have been working on fcpx and it does not have the basic features you would expect it to have. This whole "oh it is version 1" is rubbish and an insult.

I have been part of the beta testing team on almost every release of fcp after V1 and I know of no one in those teams that were even asked for input on this version.
You say you cant wait for it to be ready for prime time, well I ask why isn't it already. There is no way this can be used in a multi suite shared raid facility and they have stopped selling fcp7 so even if you wanted to setup an FCP facility, you would have to choose something else. Unless you are an island and have no need to share or move information between systems, then fcpx is useless as it stands. I don't think Im being harsh, just a realist and a very disappointed fan of a once great product.

I agree with Tony,

It is rubbish. Thinking different is fantastic but not when you can't do some very basic functions.

It cannot handle the importing of media at all well and it's extremely slow to do it. Try working with some HD material on it and it turns into this clunky slow editing interface. You can't even view the material at a decent playback quality without the software having a heart attack.

I'll give you an example why it's so lacking. Any professional who grades images would NEVER EVER grade on a domestic LCD, and yet that is the only way you can grade images.

Personally it's a disgrace of a product and I can list at least 20 basic functions that it cannot do.

This is a re-invention of the wheel into a square and it is going to cost apple heavily if they don't correct this quickly.

Yes,

The creator of the ZX 81 and ZX spectrum floundered with his Sinclair C5.

Any FCP X... it really is irrelevant now. I think the latest video in the news post with the person searching for help files is pretty much where it's at.

Personally I just see this whole FCP X thing as a massive marketing blunder. As others have said call it something more appropriate like Fisher Price Cut Kit.

Still Love you Mr Jobs but your marketing guru kind've got confused for his target audience on this software.

Maybe call it First Cut Beta trial software? :)

All of bad comments are coming from Avid and Adobe guys to break Apple. You need a software to be a good editor ? not me ... and more again with FCPX where 100% of the missing features can be solved today (with ext plugs like FCP 5,6,7 in their first shot)
Elephant never forget :) please go back to your world if it is to only post f***g rumors and non sens comments
