Loving the iProducts model pack, I am having problems replacing the drop zones with my own images. I get spinning I get an indefinite spinning beach ball. Has anyone else experienced this?

Anyone know how Apple feels about using their products in anything put on television...be it a commercial, promo, tv show? If they do have a problem with it..can you just delete the apple logo?

That seems to be the general practice. If you don't have licensing, then just cover/erase the logo.

Hello, sorry for bad english.

The first time I use it I have got the same question. I want to put a screen image into the drop zone. First the image MUST have is extension like .png for exemple (I have made a screen capture without extension and it do not work on mobject). Second, I had a new material: disable AO, transparency,...and on diffuse I choose load custom texture. For the end I put this texture on the screen layer of the object and it seems to work well. I don't no if this is the good method but I'm a beginner and that's work.

To have good images if I need web images I use : www.responsinator.com

How do you guys are liking mObjects?
We stop using do to its clunky interface and bad performance, it seems much faster on our side just rolling it all out of Cinema 4D or Maya.

I hope to see a major update for Motion to speed things up.... but will we?

I've used it on several jobs and love it.

If you're going to compare to Maya or Cinema4D, then plug-ins like mObject and Element3D are going to loose every time on overall features and performance.

But for general Motion Graphics artists like myself- who long ago gave up on trying to be a 3D artist at the same time, it presents a great opportunity to integrate 3D geometry into your projects.

You can tell me if I'm wrong, but I can't imagine it's easy to integrate 3D object from Maya or C4D into Motion projects with complex camera moves, since there's no easy way to import or export camera data. The fact that there's only one shared camera and one 3D world in Motion is the advantage here.

Simon at MotionVFX has said a couple times that the they've been fighting again the code in Motion in some places to make features work. Specifically I think the version of OpenGL Motion5.1 is using is not up to date.

A flame artist I know was telling about this today. I tried it with mObject and it is pretty awesome. www.crazybump.com

It allows you to take images and create bump maps for textures. Works great with mObject.

Can mObject objects be used with Replicators and/or Emitters in Motion?

I got the answer and it is no but there is going to be particles in mObject at some point.

Yup. They are working on it. It will probably be the next big headline feature.

In fact, I'm half-wondering if that preview image of the blocks isn't a tease of upcoming particle stuff.
