Denoise effect for FCPX?
Where can I find one? Or is somebody working on it?

I messed around with it very briefly with some old footage (filmed at daytime but someone had been fiddling with the camera and switched the gain control to auto, and I kept closing the iris without realizing this, so the camera kept adding gain which was not apparent in the viewfinder). Anyway, the result was footage shot at day with a lot of video noise.
After playing around with the filter in Motion I reduced this noise somewhat, though the image is noticeably soft.

That is great news! I could use some right away. So the question is: "when, oh when?".BenB wrote: CoreMelt has a nice one. I'll be posting a review of Core Melts coming full release of some amazing effects for FCP X. I'll post here when the review is up.

It's not much, but since it's simple beta testing, there's not much I'm honestly able to say. But I will say, this will be the single most important plugin collection any FCP X / Motion 5 user could spend money on.

First, if all of your footage is noisy, learn from it, it was not shot in an optimum manner.
Well...yeah I mean its stuff that can't be shot optimally...following a band around at night time and what not...
I brought a couple sample clips in to Motion 5 and applied the denoiser and it really didn't have much effect at all sadly...even all the way maxed out, it barely changed anything...
Might need to Automatic Duck the FCPX timeline in to FCP and see if i can denoise it with something in there? Would that work?

I wish Red Giant would bring out their Noise Reduction plug in for FCPX, its only available in AE at the moment. I've been very happy with Red Giants MBL (its interface and just the way it works) - so I'd be keen to buy from them if they continue to develop products for FCPX.

That still only available for AE though...

There is still Magic Bullet Denoiser 1.0.1 for Final Cut Pro 7 if you have the old suite. I don't think they have it up for sale anymore.simonpwood wrote:
