Is there a denoiser plugin/effect for FCPX?
Where can I find one? Or is somebody working on it?

There is a basic noise reduction filter in Motion 5 (go to Library > Image Units > Noise Reduction > Apply).

I messed around with it very briefly with some old footage (filmed at daytime but someone had been fiddling with the camera and switched the gain control to auto, and I kept closing the iris without realizing this, so the camera kept adding gain which was not apparent in the viewfinder). Anyway, the result was footage shot at day with a lot of video noise.

After playing around with the filter in Motion I reduced this noise somewhat, though the image is noticeably soft.

Umm ok, is there a option to make this option/effect available for FCPX. So you add this effect to a empty layer and export it as effect?

CoreMelt has a nice one. I'll be posting a review of Core Melts coming full release of some amazing effects for FCP X. I'll post here when the review is up.

That is great news! I could use some right away. So the question is: "when, oh when?".

It's not much, but since it's simple beta testing, there's not much I'm honestly able to say. But I will say, this will be the single most important plugin collection any FCP X / Motion 5 user could spend money on.

Ok so i have my edit done and want to denoise some clips with the Motion 5 denoiser...How do i go about getting my project out of FCPX into Motion while maintaining the clips? I don't think I want to just export the whole video as one clip then bring in to Motion because it will apply the effect to everything...right?

First, if all of your footage is noisy, learn from it, it was not shot in an optimum manner. If its all noisy, I'd take the originals into Motion and clean them up with a third party de-noise filter.

Well...yeah I mean its stuff that can't be shot optimally...following a band around at night time and what not...

I brought a couple sample clips in to Motion 5 and applied the denoiser and it really didn't have much effect at all sadly...even all the way maxed out, it barely changed anything...

Might need to Automatic Duck the FCPX timeline in to FCP and see if i can denoise it with something in there? Would that work?

Neat Video is one of the best denoisers I've ever seen. Right now it's FCP 7 and motion 4/5 only. But it works great for low light footage.

Is the Neat Video plug in still in Beta? I can not see it for sale?

I wish Red Giant would bring out their Noise Reduction plug in for FCPX, its only available in AE at the moment. I've been very happy with Red Giants MBL (its interface and just the way it works) - so I'd be keen to buy from them if they continue to develop products for FCPX.

Check out CoreMetl's "Editors Tools", it has "Noise Limiter" that's pretty nice. They have a free trial available.

The Neat Video FCPX plugin is still in Beta but seems to work pretty well ... and i would add that besides their kind of old fashion website, the plugin is absolutely awesome, really incredible, i've never seen better noise reduction (but i haven't tried coremelt ;)

I would also look into Red Giant Magic Bullet Deniser II can't overlook the company that was created by a former Quicktime or Silicon Graphics Expertise. ;)

There is still Magic Bullet Denoiser 1.0.1 for Final Cut Pro 7 if you have the old suite. I don't think they have it up for sale anymore.

+1 on neat video and it works within FCPX. Costs $99 bucks for the pro version but it's the best plugin I've ever spent money on imho.
