So, the MBL2 compatibility with 10.0.6 is either very intermittent, or it may be hardware specific. It seems now to work very well for me. I will keep an eye on things.
EDIT: I wrote this post prior to knowing of the update mentioned above, so I am still using the MBL2 2.08 version.

It seems to be hardware specific. We don't have it on our MacPros, just on some of our iMacs.
@ ptrush:
Thank you for this information. I haven't received any message yet from Red Giant concerning this fix, nor do I seem to find any mentioning of it on their site right now. Would you have a link to the update page?

thought it was 11-6, not 6-11. guess i'm one of the lucky ones that MBL works for.

Ron, keep holding your breath...

BTW, if you all have Plural Eyes, and don't yet have Magic Bullet Looks, they have a special going on which I think ends tomorrow (Nov 8th) to purchase Looks at half price. I received an email yesterday I think it was making me the offer but I had already bought it last week at full price. Red Giant was gracious enough to extend me a credit of 50% off what I paid, that was pretty sweet of them! So, that helps me to hold my breath a little while longer, I just hope I don't need resuscitation.

Yep, I'm finding all sorts of things I can do now without doubling a clip on top of itself.
It's amazing to have this advanced shape mask option that actually works WITH the built-in color correction controls.
Combined with Nattress Levels I'm doing some great color grading tricks, too.
Very killer plugin. And great "intro" price that won't last.
Just wish the shape points themselves were keyframable.

Do you think maybe you can have that done by Friday?

"In FCP X 10.0.6: This new version of FCP X may not work correctly if the clip's pixel aspect ratio is different than 1.0. That incorrect behaviour of FCP X may effectively disable Neat Video and it will not produce expected noise reduction in FCP X preview or render. We are currently working with Apple to find a way to avoid the problem. Before a solution is found, we recommend to postpone updating to 10.0.6 and keep 10.0.5 for the time being."[/i][/i]

plysat wrote: Couple plugins I've found to be flaky... BG Flicker not Flickr works, but behaves weirdly. Cut Speed Rate Controls don't really do much... Also, TKY 4-Way Assymetric Screen splitter works, but clips selected for the drop zones don't play, they just freeze on a frame. Nothing has caused a crash... yet. Other than that, things seem to still work.
Apple have changed the way Drop Zones are implemented. See here for details:
www.fcp.co/forum/7-fcpx-how-to-tutorials...-zones-in-fcp-10-0-6
You will find that using the new technique you will have no problems with TKY 4-way Asymmetric Split Screen. The old ways no longer work.

The output works well with DaVinci Resolve but not with fcpx.
I also had to disable FxFactory plugins because some of them where crushing down fcpx. Noise industries support admitted that some of their plugins don't work with Mountain Lion and promised to update fxfactory soon. The update just arrived (4.0) but no word on improved performance with mountain lion
I have tried the above on a 15inches rMBP 16MB RAM.
The other setup I have is with 2010 Mac Pro with Matrox MXO2 MAX. Video out doesn't work either even with 3.3 beta driver for the Matrox card
The only one that works is a 2009 Mac PRO with Blacmagic HD Extreme. On this one the image is fine on the SDI control monitor.
Any advice on solving my problems is welcome.
Best,
Eugen
