I'll start off by saying we have had reports of Magic Bullet Looks being a bit flakey

Also Matrox MXO2 boxes

Yes, MBL2 seems to work if you can get the on-screen display to take you into the application. This has to be toggled on and off in the inspector and eventually it will work. It sometimes also doesn't react if the timeline viewer is on another display, or if you just used one of the MBL2 looks on a previous clip. I have confidence that Red Giant will release an update soon.

So, at the moment, FLAKEY sums it up nicely !

AJA Io XT was also finicky at first : played fine until I had to trash the prefs because the accent grave wouldn't work. Then I got that to work but no more display... despite having the latest drivers from AJA.

Now made it work by loading old prefs (Thank you Preferences Manager) and deleting keyboard set from within FCPX). Saved that as new Prefs and both AJA and keyboard are now playing nice.
Fingers crossed ...

So far no problems with my BMD Ultrastudio 3D. I took the upgrade opportunity to also clear out my plugins and remove anything I wasn't using.

fcpguru - what drivers are you running on your Ultrastudio - 9.6.4?

I haven't upgraded to 10.0.6 yet because I wanted to check BMD but the website appears to be down.

Neat Video Reduce Noise does not work. It opens Terminal and displays, "Error: Incorrect Input Data. Frame is not filtered." many, many times.

I'm a FCPX one month newbie whose 30 day trial of FCPX 10.0.5 is 2 days from expiring. So, I was thrilled that Apple is generously allowing me to try 10.0.6 for another 30 days. They even explicitly say so on their website. Wow!

I have a month long project that heavily relies on Neatvideo's noise reduction plugin, which worked fine in 10.0.5, but doesn't seem to yet support 10.0.6.

Is there an easy work around that I'm unaware of, or do I have to wait for Neatvideo to update their plugin?

I'm really eager to use the new features in 10.0.6, but really need to finish my project in the next 4 days.

Any suggestions?

I had a project where I used Neat plugin in a multicam clip which worked until I updated to 10.0.6. Then I got the same problem with the Terminal window appearing and FCPX locking up. I'm in contact with Neat engineers and they're aware and working to fix it, but after looking again at their known issues on their website it states that you should ONLY apply the filter to clips in a timeline, not multicam or clips in the event browser. I have no problems with using it on clips in the timeline.

Does anyone know if 10.0.6 will work with the Matrox MXO2 Thunderbolt box? Of course they say they don't support it yet, but sometimes it will work with older drivers even if it isn't "officially" supported.

Anyone try it yet?

I need to still be able to output to my external monitor for my clients sake!

Tonalizer VFX Pro works like a charm in 10.0.6 and seems to render faster too (no I am NOT reinstalling 10.0.5 just to prove that ;-)

Seems some of my Noise industry plug-ins have broken “Editors tools pack” and mFlare is broken.

If I scrub over a clip that have these filters applied it will crash FCPX 10.0.6 everytime.

I have found that exporting xml to davinci resolve doesnt work anymore. hopefully black magic knows and is ironing out for vers. xml 1.2 from apple

No problem going XML to Resolve here. Everything came across fine and I just used it to replace some ProRex Proxy files I had generated from RED footage with the real deal.

I use mFlare a lot and am having no issues what so ever with it. In fact I'd say it's working much faster than it did before. Plays back in real time now. SWEET!

Make sure you've updated to the latest version. 1.3.9 [Build 189]

Couple plugins I've found to be flaky... BG Flicker not Flickr works, but behaves weirdly. Cut Speed Rate Controls don't really do much... Also, TKY 4-Way Assymetric Screen splitter works, but clips selected for the drop zones don't play, they just freeze on a frame. Nothing has caused a crash... yet. :whistle: Other than that, things seem to still work. :-)

TIFFEN DFX3 Film and Video Bundle now fixed for 10.0.6 under the latest installer 3.0.9.6. :cheer:

Tiffen Dfx 3. Can you please give some more detailed instructions how to update. I just found the trial version to download that was named as you mention. Do you have to deactivate the license for the installed version or just install the new one ?
