NAB 2017 was a blast! This year, LumaForge had the opportunity to host both the Faster, Together Stage at the Courtyard Marriott and our Workflow Suite on the 59th floor of the Encore hotel. We also participated in the FCPX Guru Gathering, the Colorist Mixer, the SuperMeet and even threw a party at the Encore.

While we wait for the rest of the FCP X Tour videos from NAB to get posted, here’s a last but certainly not least video from the FCP X Tour Barcelona. We couldn’t publish it sooner because some of the projects mentioned were still under NDA at the time of the recording. Two bits of good news. 3D and VR plugin developer Tim Dashwood has joined Apple. Not only is that good news for FCPX users, he has also made his existing plugin products free.

We reported on the release of FindrCat back in November. Now Phil And Greg from Intelligent Assistance have released FindrCat Pro. This is an in app purchase in FindrCat that now keeps FCPX metadata when round tripping through Finder.

Everybody hates boring tutorials, sometimes the best way to teach is to keep everything concise and to the point. Bill Davis' refreshed XinTwo tutorial website is nearly up to its 100th 'micro' FCPX video lesson.

The debate is over, it looks like we won't get a feature packed update for the pro apps this side of NAB. All the pro video apps have had an update today along with a few new features included for FCPX, Motion and Compressor.

Gabriele Weßling has published a Final Cut Pro X graphic 'how to' manual for German readers. Priced at €17 for the PDF, it is suitable for beginners and experienced editors.
