Hey Guys, I ordered a 6-core D700 version of the Mac Pro the morning of December 19th around 11am Cali time...I'm still sitting on "Ships in Feb" and was curious if anyone from that timeframe has received a shipping notification. I'm really hoping I won't have to start this R3D feature on my Laptop, but its seeming more and more likely that "Ships in Feb" means "Ships Late Feb" When did you order and when did it arrive?

Ordered mine Dec 26. 8-core; otherwise maxed out. My shipping notice continues to say February.

Well, the one thing they say on the shipment site is that after it moves to "Preparing for Shipment" that you can no longer change your config options- so I'd imagine that mean's it's either being physically configured or has already been.
What day did your order go in, Ben? The 19th? |

I'm going to go back to something I hypothesized a ways back in the thread-
That the hold on shipments is due to a lack of processor parts from Intel. We haven't seen a slow and steady filling of orders. There have been pretty much no shipments for weeks, and now I think we'll see a rush of orders being filled. My 8-core config was ordered on Dec 26th. I'm betting 8-core processors are especially scarce. |

Mine is unpacked it took time to migrate and move media to another drive from the old Mac Pro 2006. I have started to experiment with tiny project in FCPX. I t is hard to describe in words the feeling using this machine. Fast, smooth and solid and whisper quiet I can actually not tell if the machine is running. Simply awesome. This is the COMPUTER.
