Intermittent black / green flicker problem
Dragged my file into compressor
Dragged the Apple Pro Res 422 setting onto it.
In Encoder I enabled video settings and set frame rate to 59.94
In Frame controls I set resize filter to Best, output fields to same as source, and deinterlace to Best
In Frame controls - Rate Conversion I set it to Best and set duration to 100.00% of source (don't want the length of the video to change).
Is this correct? It says the job will take 40 hours; yikes!

"Apple Pro Training Series: Compressor 3.5"
Tons of great information about what those controls are really doing under the hood, how they effect each other, and your final encode. Not all of Compressor is blatantly obvious.
Can't wait to see a Compressor X come out.

For some reason I don't have the feeling a "Compressor X" is coming more integration with the Share Monitor. They already castrated the presets in Compressor 4.

They see no future in it. For that matter neither do I. I'm glad they're focusing on things more important. For all else people can run back to their beloved MpegStreamClip.

Compressor is very powerful and I don't see it being killed off. If it is, another bullet in the FCP dev team's foot.

But I sure would't pay for it. If you want a good Queue Encoder check out Adobe CS6 Media Encoder!
No it really didn't make since, it makes since adding new presets... DVDSP wasn't the only DVD authorizing tool. It would be much easier if they didn't remove the presets. :woohoo:
It is particle and easy to use but still being in 32bit world it sure gotten a bullet in foot compare to the competition.

The basic DVD encoder preset is still there, but since Apple only makes presets for their own stuff, having dropped DVDSP, and as we can see, dropping support for DVD totally based on the move towards MBP's with no optical drive, it makes perfect "Apple sense" to not include all the variations of SD DVD presets. That's what they did, like it or not. But I really don't see it going away, nor any sign of that. But, we'll see what happens over the next year.

Yup that is the issue everyone is having at the moment the Apple sense.
