Intermittent black / green flicker problem
Quick question though; after I transcoded that small sega clip in my event library, when I highlight it and look at the info inspector I don't really see anything that indicates it was transcoded (the codec etc still says the same things as before, though I clearly watched it go through the transcoding and subsequent rendering). The FCPX in-app help says that you can somehow tell whether your project is currently using original media, transcoded, or proxy...but I don't see that where it specified. Is there any way to see a clip flagged as transcoded or some such? Thanks.

I'm sorry but this is categorically untrue. If the first clip you put into an FCP project is a non-standard frame size or frame rate you will get a dialog sheet asking you to select a standard video frame size and frame rate.

Our last effort at a 'MOGIE' all done with an XBox 360 a Canon 5D Mk II and some friends.

Oh Sorry Ben didn't see this post until now. The cockpit initially was just paper mache with some scrap metal and a head rest bolted on. It was almost like a suit that the actor wore on his shoulders.
When we got some funding to do the series we had a few fuselages made up so we could capture more angles and then do the plane side by side shots. We also had a RC Model plane that we shot to give us some of the full screen wides we needed that we couldn't get out of the game.
I wish FCP X had been around when we made this would have been so much easier. Took me a week just to sync up all the rushes as we shot with 3 5D MkII and recorded to a dedicated audio recorder.
We ended up going with Primatte Keyer which did a fantastic job I have to say.

scotopia wrote: Okay I tried that and you see the stutter (as you do if you export as H.264 as well). I think it is because the framerate of the raw gameplay file is 59.91 fps according to the final cut info window, and this does not correspond to any of the selectable options in final cut. Is there away for me to convert it to something like 29.97p without the footage getting all wonky? (Note: the input file is coming from my Hauppauge HDPVR and I don't think I can modify its captured framerate). Thanks!
I guess, judging from Tom's earlier post in this thread; that I have to use something like Compressor or MPEG StreamClip?
