Can't access the app store at the moment. What does it say for updates?

Thanks! I'll update later on. Currently banging my head against a wall with what appears to be a corrupt FCPX project file. No clue how to fix it, and desperately hoping to not lose the project. :/

Move the CurrentVersion.fcpxproject file out of the folder, relaunch, force it to read from the backup db file.

‎* Improves image quality and responsiveness of broadcast monitoring with compatible third-party PCIe and Thunderbolt I/O devices.
* Improves performance of multicam syncing and editing.
* Adds language support for Simplified Chinese.

Like past updates, I'm sure there's little things in there Apple isn't mentioning, too.

AND, the "Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro X Advanced Editing" book is supposed to be released today, also. But Peachpit hasn't updated their web site yet.

And Apple's web site still refers to 10.0.3 as the latest version.

In the Preferences, Editing tab, we have a setting called "Inspector Units" so you can switch between pixels and percentage! LMAO!!!!

It appears the back up copy is corrupt as well. It is exhibiting the same behavior. Beachball is currently spinning, app locked up. This can't be good.

If this update really improves global performances (huge events bloating, compound clips edited again and again...) then it will the important update I was expecting for, not a minor one.
I can wait a little for new features, but I hope Apple made FCPX completely reliable.

Philip Hodgetts just posted on FaceBook that ‎10.0.4 means that Xto7 now supports flattened multicam going from FCP X to FCP 7.

Also, he has an update for an old app called Sync-N-Link that can do batch sync'ing for FCP X.

On the road, not at my edit bay anymore. Do you mean "Dashboadr" when you say "timecode window"?

Yes, I know it is officially the Dashboard but many think of the floating gadget window in Motion. ;)

No, nothing is changed in the Dashboard. When you ripple a shot, the tooltip in the timeline not only shows the amount trimmed, but the new duration of the trimmed shot. I can't see any other difference in the display. The dashboard shows the current time of the storyline.

In the Article on FCP.co it says: "it has been noted by Oliver Peters and others that 10.0.4 has caused some problems with inversion of plugins such as Magic Bullet and GenArts Sapphire Edge. "

Anyone know what this is, or where you can read the original info?

I had a fast internet connection today so I updated. But I'll need Magic Bullet next week for a music video edit; hope its still working!

From the FCP L

FWIW - FCP X 10.0.4 appears to have broken MB Looks and Sapphire Edge. Performance is awful. In both filters' own interfaces the FCP X reference frame appears upside down.

- Oliver

Also a couple of people on twitter seeing the same problem

I'm seeing this too in MB, hopefully just an update from Red Giant needed.
