How would one Backup FCPX Events and FCPX Projects while editing

Thanks, I'll look into it. But I'll try and get my head round Automator first, I'm learning stuff about it while trying.

Well I worked out the filter issue, you need to go deeper in to the folder structure to filter the individual files. There seems to be a few ways to do this but they break open the folder structure so if a backup was to be created it would just be a big mess of unorganised files.
