Hello, I am currently working on a project where the persons head is replaced with a piece of fruit. You can still see their eyes, nose, and mouth but the head itself is replaced with the fruit (apples, oranges, etc).

Does anyone know of any plugins that would help us create this effect?

Or know how to achieve this effect? Any help would be appreciated.

Try out one or multiple permutations available in the composting effects. Not sure what look you're trying to achieve but with various trial / effor manipulations of color levels combined with opacities you my get close to the look you want.

How to add Motion Tracking, the head/actor moving? No clue, my antique hardware doesn't support such futuristic effects

In the tutorial it showed a closeup of the persons face, does it have to be a close-up of the persons face, or can I shoot video of a person standing up and you see the apple (with face) on their shoulders?

I also noticed that Pixel Film Studios has a plugin called FCPX Face Tracker which might work.

the close-up suggestion is just for quality reasons… try for yourself. If you're familiar, give Motion a shot, it's a complex effect, in terms of layers, masks, trackers, compounds.-

Pixelfilms has a real bad reputation…
