As mentioned in my first thread in this forum (hello again),
I have AVCHD material without the directory structure.

The ClipWrap demo (haven't bought it yet) "rewraps" files WITHOUT transcoding, and keeps the 5.1 audio my dad recorded with a Sony handycam.

FCP X imports that material without problems, displaying all 6 channels.

(I haven't grapsed yet why transcoding seems to be such an important task with Apple software. Not what I was looking for... Sorry for moping.)

.mts were never natively supported, nope. You'll needed to translate those externally to ProRes. Try using MPEGStreamClip.

MPEGStreamClip crashes constantly. Do you have more suggestions?

I always use VoltaicHD to transcode .mts files to ProRes. It will even extract the 5.1 audio.
