FCPX 10.4.1 Update Thread

I don't know how you're monitoring it. In the browser the clip is mono. In the project the same clip has a stereo output.

Audio file is a mono dialog track from a Sound Devices recorder. All audio is going through an AJA IO4K box which feeds audio speakers (2CH) and video monitors. I'm confused as to why I'm not hearing anything. I can see the meter bounce as a mono track but no sound.

i had this problem too some tome ago , check audio midi setup .. loudspeaker Konfiguration - set to stereo , even if it is this can get messed up sometime. solved it for me

Yup that did it. Thanks guys. Audio/Midi setup. Needed to set it to something other than Stereo (I chose 2.0 Surround) Then switched back to Stereo. All good now.

I've had issues with this as well... it seems,when using stereo FCPX sends it to whatever is system default. But for mono, it sends to output 1. In my case output 1 (of my MOTU 828mk3) is not one of my stereo outputs (main out of the 828 is output 9-10, I believe).

Wish FCPX had better support for audio out (just like Logic or any other DAW application).

If you're using dual monitor, this shortcut menu lets you quickly set what is shown on the secondary monitor.

Me too, but there's more than enough up there to work with.

Still no support for closed captions in MXF files, which cripples a lot of us broadcasters.

There won't be any support for CC (or other metadata) any time before Apple releases a completely new MXF component.
So don't look at FCP announcements but for new codecs

Yes - I thing I explained you why some months ago (including some graphics).
I worked with and for the original developer until they sold it to Apple, and there was no update from then to now.

I have this problem and the selection on the timeline keep selecting other clips at the same time and I keep deleting work that I have already done

Update to 10.4.2.
