My point was that Adobe editors are too obsessed with bashing FCPX. Why don't they just use Premier and shut up, why are they so bitter? It's like most of them are ex FCP legacy editors and have jumped ship to Premier, and because of that they don't want to see FCPX improved too much. They need to justify it to themselves that they've made the right choice. I've never seen hoards of FCPX editors bashing Premier on forums and social networks every time the new version is launched. I usually wouldn't care about this, but they are doing a great disservice to a lot of their fellow editors.
They have created this stigma that FCPX is an amateur software and hence only amateurs use it. It's frustrating that people kind of stop taking me seriously when I mention my editing platform. It's like I can hear them go, "Ohhh, so you're a hobbyist!" The platform shouldn't matter, but the result. It should be my concern what I use to get the result.
This 'stigma' has cost me many jobs, and a lot of money! On so many projects I was forced to use Premier and Avid not because the pipeline or workflow demanded it, but because FCPX is, I quote, " an app for hobbyists, vloggers, and youtubers."

Now, I can edit in Avid, I even like it for long form because it's rock solid, and has great tools in the timeline, particularly trimming. I also can edit on Premier, when it's not crashing. But FCPX is my favourite, especially 10.3!

But in my (german) surroundings - TV (feature + series), Cinema (Narrative, Doc) - it feels like it´s 100% Avid.

That's correct. Narrative work (with a few exceptions such as the Dani Lowinski series in Germany) is still mostly done in Avid. But that's only a very small segment of the content production market, and narrative has always been very slow in adapting to new technologies or workflows. Probably because the post process for narrative is much slower.

The biggest changes we see are in the Nordics, where some of the biggest series and movies are being made now. As an example: a Finnish friend of mine is currently working on one of the biggest European feature films to be released in 2017 after having edited a 20 million dollar narrative series for Irish television and Netflix... all in FCP X. You will hear more about this after the FCPX Tour in Barcelona end of this week, and during the following FCP X Tour in Tampere (Finland).

Vista vision, I think producers are slowly understanding that they can save money with FCPX, and I bet things will change (and are already changing)

Also from my experience and feel many in Germany don't like changes, also Adobe Premiere has very strong hold of giving you Premiere when using Photoshop. ;)

Lucky me I was able convince my Boss how easy Final Cut Pro X is vs Premiere. But again the company I work for is full energy and want to be creative in aspects.

On freelance jobs I never mentioned what I work with just ask what format they want.
