SSD drive not that fast.

Sorry, in my haste I misinterpreted the issue.
The accounts DID come over intact.
It was human error on my part. Old mail from my university POP account which should have been deleted wasn't, so I got those thousands of emails. My fault.

Everything does seem to have crossed over correctly. The accounts do show as POP and work as such.

So is the ideal way to go to reinstall each program and plugin one by one?
For me that would be a huge amount of work. Licenses, serial numbers, updates...

Is that what you mean? If so, I'll take my chances for now.

I'm going to stay with what I've got, however bloated it might or might not be, and not bother with any fixes unless it's broken. So far so good. Just wasn't sure how much to expect from an sad on my old computer.

But it's probably doing its best.

One thing to keep in mind, is that besides the number of libraries and their content, the startup speed of FCPX is also dependent on the 3rd party plugins installed, and some plugins can ad a significant amount of time to FCPX's startup.
