FCPX 10.2 enables QuickTime 7 Pro?

I now have Show Movie Properties whereas that was a grayed out Pro option before.
Confirming I go to QuickTime>Registration, even though nothing is filled in I now see PRO over the Q and it says on the bottom of the windows it says Apple Pro Apps User.
Definitely changed for me.

Quicktime Pro enabled through no conscious action by me (or Apple apparently) on a system that never had Legacy on it. This system was a clean system from the get go last year. When I last used QT7 a few days ago it was still standard. Today I checked a clip in it after updating to 10.2 and noticed the grayed out pro features were enabled. Baffling. I have no reason to complain about this magical change of course. Perhaps some sort of easter egg?

I can't help but think there's some "easter egg" that results in QT 7 Pro being activated. Some combination of Yosemite, FCPX and some unknown action or series of keystrokes.

It has to be a Easter Egg of some sort that's time limited. Cant' think of any rational reason for it to suddenly activate and then deactivate some time later.

Becuase I think what must be one of the biggest kept secrets is the Compressor is effectively the new QuickTime Pro. It enables all the features that was available for tthe old QuickTime Pro, but via its interface.
I have t checked QuickTime myself, but perhaps this MAY my solve your mystery.

If you have any FCP Legacy programs, I suspect that it activates.
In my case my computer was untouched by legacy.
Also in my case it activated and has become deactivated within a span of a couple of days.
This is why I'm inclined to believe there's an Easter Egg routine that I must have bumped into.
The only potential correlates is that it happened around the same time as the update to 10.10.3 and 10.2 although that could be entirely coincidental.
As an encoder there's no great need for QT 7 Pro which otherwise would cost about $30 (Free with legacy Pro Apps) given Compressor does a lot more for $50. QT 7 Pro does have useful features as a Player and File Inspector though.

Also, if you "installed" QT 7, you installed the Pro version. The non-pro version came with Macs prior to QT X. And if you got a newer Mac with QT X player on it, you could only "install" the QT 7 Pro version from Apple. There is no non-pro version installer. So I have to conclude you did indeed download and install the pro version from the start.
