Hi there, I loved your app but it seems to have a bug in OS X Yosemite where it exports the wrong still image. Clicking on the markers show the correct frame, but after I export the XML and run it through fcpxImageExporter, the resulting jpg's are all totally different frames. Update soon?

Sorry to hear the app isn't working for you. I've just tested it on a simple timeline in fcpx in yosemite and it exported ok. Can you tell me a bit about the material you are using and if it has any retimes - or perhaps if the material is not the same timebase as your sequence? But it should be ok |

The app no longer works consistently in 10.3. It works with some footage but not the footage I need stills from all of a sudden. Anyone know of any plans for an update??

Oh, thank goodness you've heard our pleas! If you need any info that may help, I'm glad to provide it. It seems to work in some sequences with some kinds of footage, but not with others, whereas before it always worked flawlessly. If you need me to send an XML file of my project so you can look at it, I'd be happy to send it along.

Hi guys sorry for the delay. I have an update available for those who would like to test it out.
It is working for me using fcpxml version 1.5. With MacOS's sandboxing security feature I needed to give "temporary" file access to "/" otherwise fcpxImageExporter fails and says the codec of the media isn't supported. Basically it did not have read access to the entire filesystem. You can grab it here: adamteale.com/apps/fcpximageexporter/ Adam |

I feel like this really needs to be built in and have just submitted feedback to Apple along with a request for bulk export of multiple projects.
In the meantime I have set a default destination (open share destinations, create an export still options and the and control click on that to create a default destination), then you can export the stills faster - still one at a time but this time with the shortcut Command-E |

I've just tried the app using 10.3.3 but had no success using the 1.6 and old 1.5 XML options.
The app parses the XML OK, but then reports that the source material is not supported. It's JVC Log UHD 422 h264 150Mbps from an LS300. Quicktime can't play the footage although FCPX has no problem with it. So perhaps that's the problem...? |
