Sean Lander - Editing since 1982 - AVID 1991 - FCP 1999 - FCPX 2011
I'm using it on my age old MacPro from 2007 and its working brilliantly. Super impressed so far.
There are a couple of on screen glitches but overall it's working as advertised

Marc, I have replied to you direct, please send us the System profile.
El Cuajinais,
1. You should set a keyframe on your first frame before you set keyframes later on, after tracking go back and move one of the points slightly in the first frame to set an initial keyframe.
2. I don't believe it makes a difference if you change scaling or change entire points.
3. I believe FCP X hides the on screen controls of plugins in play mode so I don't think we can get around this.
4. just click on one of the icons to draw a new shape and it will replace the current shape. This keeps your track data.
5. you need to bring the 120 fps footage into a 24 fps project then export the clip, that will create a 24 fps version you can then bring back into FCP X.
There is now a detailed tutorial showing more of SliceX with Mocha in action here:

Mac Pro / 5870 / 16 GB RAM, also a new 15" maxed rMBP. No crashes, great performance, fast tracking considering what is going on under the hood. Only issue is the occasional hesitancy with making point while drawing a custom shape.

Sorry for those waiting for the release, our pre-order customers found some problems we believe are serious enough to fix so we need a few more days. We'd rather get this release right and fix serious issues than ship something pre-maturely. Coming very soon, as you can understand this is a complex plugin and there's a lot of special cases we need to test.

Patience is a virtue . .
Thanks for the update on the release. Really looking forward to trying it out. Will you be letting existing users know when it's ready?

As a previous SliceX owner, I'm also disappointed with the upgrade pricing. Any possibilities of a FCP.co members discount code?

I am rMBP i7 16 gb RAM and can't run it. Dragging shape to clip creates a CPU pegging render condition that seems like it would take 16 hours to finish if i could keep the laptop alive long enough to complete. This accompanied by the beach ball spin to a force quit. Replicated the experience on early 2009 Mac Pro tower.
Will wait for a patch and explore other options.

I have had time to mess around with this a bit this morning. I have found a couple of things pretty much have it working optimally at this point:
Use the coremelt uninstall tool to clean out old versions if you have the beta or some old version in there.
Reboot (I say this as even after uninstall it showed up as available in FCPX)
Install the newest version of SliceX with Mocha
Turn off background render
Use Slicex, make adjustments, track until y ou are happy then render.
Turn on background render (if you like working with it on).
Cheers!

Great update, and fast! My
blog post
about SliceX with Mocha has been updated! Those CoreMelt guys rock! You all will want to update to the latest Lock & Load to stabilize and track at the same time. As my blog points out, you don't want to be using the built-in stabilization with SliceX Mocha.

If I might make one minor suggestion. It appears that neither your download dmg nor the actual installer have version numbers. Since you are issuing updates, it might be helpful for your followers to be able to differentiate between the releases. This can remove any confusion from people going to their Downloads folder & finding 2 copies of your product, then mistakenly writing something negative about an issue that you've already addressed.
thank you
