There's loads of great little bits and pieces, such as the looping around an edit point issue finally having been fixed and the addition of flexible clip connections. But the Event Viewer is a bit of a disappointment for me. I was looking forward to it acting as trim windows and for displaying reference clips in the timeline for colour work.

Combined it's all going towards the right direction.

Good to know MB is working.

Anyone running NeatVideo knows if that is ok too?

I'm in the middle of a project so I wont be updating for a week or two anyway.

The Tiffen DFX3 package seems to work for the most part. I did get instant crashes on the Vignette filter under the DFX Lens category every single time the cursor is placed on the filter. Every other one I tried works with no problems.

Hi everyone, hi Ben,

I'm new here, greetings! Great forum! :cheer:

So this basically means that I should not update while I'm still working on a project? That'd be a bummer for me because I'm in the middle of an 80 minutes-documentary and still have a lot of work ahead ... won't be able to update for the next 2 or so months if it's like that ... :(

@FinalCutter You don't need to wait until your project is finished as long as you take the appropriate backup precautions in case there is an issue. The general rule of thumb is to complete projects in the version you started them in just in case the new version creates a problem with various plugins, etc.

All of my previous projects open just fine in 10.0.6 and in one or two cases a plugin or filter used no longer works. Waiting for the vendor to update their plugins is one solution.

Having said that, I would backup your project and keep the 10.0.5 version of FCPX, but then go ahead and update to 10.0.6 and let it update your project and open it. If all is well, you're good to go. If there are issues that are not easy to remedy, you can always go back to the backup project and 10.0.5.

Thanks a lot for the info! That sounds a lot better to my ears! :) I guess I will be ok then since I haven't installed any 3rd party plug-ins so far. But of course I will back up the project.

Thanks again for your help!

Yeah I'm in a big doco at the moment but was happy to take the risk. So far so good. Loving the speed increase.

Same here. No problem updating mid-project as long as you take the necessary precautions.

Finally, the features I've been wanting: paste attributes, and the biggest, multi track audio even in multi cam. What's more, the old DV footage I had that would go out of sync is now perfect in .6! I'm excited. It finally offers the features I've really missed and needed.

When will we be getting Magic Bullet Denoiser for FCPX? I definitely see that as an important 3rd party tool, and it does amazing work on After Effects, but having to export out each clip gets old.
