TB Passthrough and more output options along the lines of the lines of the original poster in this thread , just in case. Possibly effect handling?

And I Just read that Smoke only supports AJA hardware Resolve only support BMD hardware. Jeez what a bunch of petty, anticompetitive BS BMD & AJA have us users in the middle of. *shaking my head*

Yeah at frist I was big supporter of BlackMagic, then about 6 years I was converted to AJA thanks to my recent job. But, now I am seeing why I was BlackMagic fan. :woohoo:
If you want both Apps you just have to take it and get both AJA and BlackMagic. They are dongles for cheaper and free Apps, I guess.

Product quality, customer service, there are reasons I choose AJA over Blackmagic and Matrox. We've been exclusively AJA for years.
But Resolve is a BMD product, and they obviously are using it to push their hardware over the competition.

I can't really confirm that BlackMagic has any worse customer service.
But if someone thinks AJA is more exclusive then BlackMagic in the USA is wrong.
At the moment I would think one way AJA or the other BlackMagic I would have both in my arsenal.

Initially we were all AJA but then had some quality issues. Then heard about how AJA screwed Blackmagic on the drivers. They're a Melbourne Company.
so threw our support their way.
it wouldn't surprise if just like Steve Jobs wanted to kill Android, Blackmagic wants to kill AJA. They certainly are going from strength to strength but AJA have diversified too so it's shaping up for a good battle as the PC Card business fades.
Plug your Blackmagic camera into a KeyPro? It might explode!

No need to plugin the BlackMagic CInema Camera in a KiPro it already has ProRes on board.
