No sooner had we posted the voiceover recording video, PixelWizard posted this video in the comments. A Final Cut Pro tutorial on matching colours and using vignettes.

Sandwiched on Petitiononline.com in between 'Ban animal gas chambers' and 'Petition to tackle the rise of Islamophobia' is 'Final Cut Pro X is not a professional application.' Do we really need to sign this to get the message to Apple?

How does a free one hour tutorial on FCPX to get you started sound? This offer comes from Michael Wohl who has announced his range of Final Cut Pro training videos. He also has some intersting comments about our new NLE.

These are exactly the type of tutorial videos we thought would be flooding the internet once FCPX was released. Short and to the point, this video shows how to record a VO in Final Cut Pro X.

Things must be bad when we can find two new videos on a Monday morning that indicate the authors' displeasures with FCPX. At least it makes a change from reading the same blog reposted everywhere. An alternative ad posted too.

FCP.co had a bit of an outing to the SuperMeet in London last night. On stage Todd Prives showed the crowd 'Edge',  a new $299 plugin with built in presets to give your footage an instant grade.

Wow, when criticism of a product goes mainstream you know you're in trouble. This video isn't going to go down well in Cupertino, it did make good excellent viewing for a friday though.

This is a very brief first look at the some of the key features of FCPX from the viewpoint of the professional editor. Not the data wrangler, not the media manager, not the one-stop shop, production-company-in-a-bedroom. The cutter.

FCPX day two and we are starting to look into the new app a little closer and examine its possibilities and check out third party products. What plugins are available for FCPX? Will my old plugins work with FCPX?

I think we have all realised today that maybe keeping your copy of FCP7 close by is handy. If you haven't partitioned a disk or have multiple boot drives installed, Apple have an official procedure to get both versions working.
