BUMP-IN - a free title plug-in for FCPX 22 Jul 2017 08:47 #89536

// download, un-zip and drag folder into ~/Movies/Motion Templates/Titiles //
IMPROVED version 1.2 avail, see attached zip Ok, this is a more funny one, … but an excellent exercise what’s possible in Motion, here for example, I ‘pimped’ the usual OSC with some red line. Have a look: An OnScreenController sets the position where the additional word will drop in and divide the text. Don’t forget to switch that divider off, otherwise you have a red line in your title! This is more a version 0.9, I would prefer a more cartoonish animation, the text gets squeezed and ‘springs’ out of the way… maybe in a future version, me lazy… ![]() Feel free to modify, post your modded versions here… ![]() Enjoy movie making! |

Tip to make a couple of small changes to add a little animation:
Extend the two 'Link New Xpos' behaviors so they start a couple of frames before the insert word moves. Then change the 'Mix Over Time' to 'Ease in' and change the 'Mix Time Range' to 5.0: Here's a couple of screenshots showing what I mean. @Alex4D |

Hi Alex,
THANK YOU for chiming in and your improvements - instantly built in, plus, I added a lil' dose of Motion Blur… btw: That's what so great with the Final-Cut community - that 'bouncing ideas' to make things better. Big fun! oh, and thanks for mentioning my lil' Motion exercise on your Twitter account. ![]() |
