'13 MP with BMD UltrasSudio Mini Monitor 02 Mar 2014 13:49 #41940
I'm using this combo, and it gives me fits. I have to leave it unconnected for a successful boot, otherwise I get a gray screen and boot freezes. Once booted, I connect it, and in FCPX, audio plays choppy and static y and cuts in and out. Plus, when connected, most of my FCPX and OS X keyboard shortcuts don't work, or don't work properly. OS X 10.9.2, dual D700s. Anyone else seeing issues with this device?

Could try uninstalling the driver and regressing to 9.9.3 just in case their update introduced something.
Just for yucks, can you make sure the MiniMonitor is on its own Thunderbolt Controller (not part of a pair where the other port might be in use). |

I have almost the exact same rig. 6-core, D700s, MiniMonitor.
Works great. When migrating from my 2012 iMac, honestly, I didn't really migrate. Kinda started fresh, only copying over just what I needed because I've always had bad luck with unexplained weirdness when I start copying prefs over. |

Not necessarily. There is BMD software that is not loading with it is unplugged. I have a support request in to BMD. Going to find out what their support is like, I guess. BTW, this same unit works great on my 2013 15" rMBP.
