From my collection of 'Soccer Effects&Generators' here's another gem … with a flaw…

After unzipping, install it in your Motion Generators.
Now in FCPX, drag the Generator onto the scene:



Two OSC, to move the whole CallOut and another one to attach it to a player
As you can see in the Inspector, you can change a few parameters:




• change the color of dots
• change font, font size and color of font
• change color of lines
• change the 'thickness'of the lines
• and finally you can apply keyframes...

... and here is a nasty flaw in my plug-in, maybe one of you can tell me how to fix that:

When you move the players dot to create a 2nd keyframe, the line doesn't follow! You have to shake the playhead a bit, presto! line is attached at dot again ...

To make the Effect, or, in this case Generator avail in FCPX, you have to follow a special install-routine, Simon explains here, much better than I could:

Next week, I'll publish the next one, a 'sports transition' .... simple, but fast. And not only for soccer alone LOL

You mentioned a flaw in your plugin. I think it might be a flaw in 10.2 with all titles. Since I updated I have to click a few times on the text to get it to move around on the screen. The box around the text will move but the text doesn't move. A few seconds later the text will move to the new location or it might not move at all. I am using dual monitors so that might also have something to do with the problem.

When I made, published and noticed the flaw of this plug-in, I used 10.1.4 ....
