COLOUR GRADING LOOK HELP 14 Dec 2014 18:22 #57346
Hello,
I am in need of some help. I have a GH4 and I need to grade some videos in a style showing in the videos below: vimeo.com/111331210 vimeo.com/98799582 This is a low contrast faded blacks look that i'd love to learn how to replicate! I'm using FCPX, so if anyone could help me with that, it would be great thanks! (Prepared to pay) Oliver. |

COLOUR GRADING LOOK HELP 15 Dec 2014 13:14 #57380
On the first video I don't quite understand what you mean - the blacks don't look that faded to me.
The second one looks like the blacks have been raised so there is no "true" 0 IRE blacks in the image. This is easily done with the Color Board in FCPX by raising the Shadows (and possibly the Midtowns) in the Exposure tab. This one also looks like there might be a mild addition of a Bleach Bypass style filter and maybe in some sections even some tweaking of the shadows more toward blue or teal. Hope this helps you get a start. |
