Swooshing an image in 08 Oct 2013 19:05 #32232
Hi All,
Brand new to the forum and to FCP. I was wondering whether there is a plugin or a method of swooshing an image in. For example I want to stamp the video with a logo but instead of it just appearing I want to literally stamp it in by the image coming in from an angle or something? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance ![]() |

You can keyframe position out-side the canvas and key-frame the size (and rotation) to create the effect of 'stamping in' your picture. What's FCPX is missing, but Motion would offer, is motion blur. Esp. a fast movement 'close to cam' as stamping, NEEDS motion blur! |

That's a good idea, I did see a tutorial on something like that. Only thing in FCPX the image covers the whole screen, which is annoying. I just downloaded Motion 5 but it keeps on frickin crashing. I think I need to run updates.
Thanks for that. |

To keep the example 'stamp': apply in some graphic processor, or even in Preview, some transparencies; save as .png. Or, you keyframe the opacity either ... |
