Is there still no way to adjust, or correct a video file that has the wrong date/time inside FCP X?

If true, are there any good programs out there that can edit this data?

Creation. The actual date the footage was shot. This is all related to the 5.1 audio import issue. I have found a solution outside of FCPX to transcode into ProRes422 and maintain the 5.1 audio, but when I import the resulting files, they are coming into FCPX with the date of the transcode, not the "shot" date.

I asked the software developer for support, but they are on vacation until February.

What software developer?

I've sent a message to an Apple engineer buddy of mine, to see if there was any command line or something to easily change creation and modification dates of files on a Mac. I don't think it's difficult.

Yeah it would been cool if there was that feature from Aperture in Final Cut Pro X.
But no worries there are many Apps out there that will do the Job. Here is one A Better Finder Attributes .
I have used it and it works...
