In this tutorial, a response to a question on a previous tutorial, we look at how to blur out to blur out a background in Final Cut Pro X. If the setup and execution is smart then you can give your video a cool depth-of-field effect similar to what can be achieved in camera with the right lens.
This is also useful if you need to create space for overlaid text to really pop.
