Hi, I'm a registered member of the FCP.co forum. When I go to the Bare Bones Basics from the forum I can't get the video to work. For example when I click on the "Motion 5 Video Training" a blank page pops up and stays blank. Is there a certain program needed to bring this video up? I have Quick Time and Windows Media Player. Thanks, Ray

First I've heard of this. The page contains a link to the video itself. Try refreshing the page once you get there. I test it on the latest Safari and Firefox. Safari should work just fine. Click on the icon for the video, and it should start to load up in a new window/tab. It may take a minute or so. What browser are you using?
I will have a download system in place next month, where you'll simply download the videos to your drive. Until then, the freebies are just .mp4 files that play in your browser.
And all the freebies are here on YouTube .

Thanks for the reply... I'm sure it's due to a couple reasons. First, I'm away from home on my Windows XP lap top with the other being that I'm using an older version of Internet Exployer. With that being said, I can play YouTube and thanks for the link. Can't wait to dive into the videos. Thanks again, Ray

Ben, Thank You! for another excellent educational video.
Since you mentioned downloading, I'd just like to point out that it is in fact easy to do right now.
Method 1 (from your site): control-click the link to the video, Copy, open the download area in Safari by clicking on the down arrow, Paste
Method 2 (fom youtube - assumes HTML5 version, which I have set): control-click the video and choose Download Video

Yes, those are the old school methods, and they work. But I will be moving to a more refined service soon, that will allow for playback on mobile devices easier, easier cataloging, etc. Just takes time to get the content together, and get the service set up. Lots of work ahead, and lots of new videos coming. We're just warming up with a few freebies at the moment.

XP - IE..... I know... I know..... I'm currently looking at the maxed out iMac 5K for my video editing needs over my Windows 7 Sony Vegas Pro workstation. I'm ready and can't wait to move up to the Mac world. I found this forum due to looking at FCP X.... Awesome forum! Thanks, Ray
