Text Moving With Video Effect? was created by Honey Badger

Hey guys,

I'd like to know how to get the effect where the text is locking onto an object (soccer ball) and moving with it, such as in this video. Specifically between 0:07-0:16. Thank you for any help!

Either manually keyframing (hard way) or tracking (easy way). Motion has some decent tracking tools. TrackX from Coremelt is a killer tracker to do just this thing, inside of FCPX. Basically, you select a point in the video, and TrackX (or Motion) follows it, mapping it out frame by frame. Once the track is created, you can attach pretty much whatever you want to it.
