The Optical Flow option of FCPX does an amazing job and in most cases you won't need a plugin.
Otherwise, Twixtor is I think the reference.

As manoucho mentioned. But for future reference shot in a higher frame rate and shutter speed, you will get much better post slow motion effect.

Both manoucho and Scrubelicious are right.
One of the essentials for getting good optical flow is high shutter speed. With low(long) shutter speed pixels will be "washed" out and hard to track.

Be aware that the more motion you have in the background of your shot, the worse Optical Flow will perform.

Hello, noob passing by.
Been trying to edit slow motion clips recorded with the xiaoyi, using the 1080p 60fps setting, editing software: Final Cut Pro X 10.1.14. When the video is slowed down to 40% or lower, the image starts to show motion blur, ghostly effect, is this normal.
Even tried the 120fps setting it still produce same result.
Is it because the shutter speed of the cam is fixed at 1/30?
Optical Flow, Frame Blending, Twixtor doesn't help
