Crop was created by Marc Lucas
If you want to select say one side of a shape layer say the top and drag it without affecting the other sides how do you do that. Same as changing the corner co-ordinates but doing it manually.

Yes but it you try and do this with a text layer the scale of the text changes. I wanted to be able to resize the layer without affecting the size of and object or text in it. I think I've sorted it now by right clicking and selecting 'crop' I'll have a go later.

Thanks
I'll have a look at that. I did mean in general really just wondering how I would reduce the size of a layer without affecting the content inside whether it was a text layer or shape layer etc.
Thanks though

Sorry, I realised that, I just meant this as a bit of additional info.
I can't really see any general way, and have found the different layer types to work different, particularly the text layers which don't have a "Crop" property
Before rushing into cropping and later finding a problem try this:
Create a shape and select the "Edit Points" tool, just so you can see them clearly. Go to the "Inspector" and enable "Crop" and adjust one of the sides until you overlap the shape. This does as expected it crops but leaves the control points outside the crop. Just a heads up, it's not a good or bad thing, just something to be aware of.

I've kind of noticed that already whilst playing around earlier. I'll have a good play later.
Thanks!
