Rigging corporate color palette -possible? was created by HalfGlassFull
Is it possible to rig only certain colors when creating a rig in Motion. Company has corporate palette of 15 colors and rather than publish, I'd like them to be "there".
A) Can this be done?
b) how?
c) is Rigging the right method here?
Many thanks

Welcome Lawrence to fcp.co
Yes, that is possible, and yes, ‚rigging‘ into a nice drop-down menu is the tool of choice.
But… how to rig depends very much, what kind of usability you like to accomplish.
E.g., you can publish a Rig for each element, which allows to select only from a ready-made palette of colors.
And, you can Rig whole templates of ‚color schemes’.
For instance, case A, the user gets offered 6 colors for the Font, 2 colors for the outline, 4 colors for the background of a Lower3rd.
… or: case B, you bundle all those setting in a ‚template rig‘, which instantly allows only 5 pre-defined combos of colors for the font, its outline and the background ….

Thank you Karsten for this ray of hope!
Luckily we only have a palette of 12 colours and so, which rig would be the best option please? I’ve tried a slider but find when adding points along the it, I’m getting hues rather than colours.
Many thanks for your insight on this.

Hi L.
sorry for replying late… real-life-thingies
Attached a very basic Motion-Title-Generator, you can open in M5, demoing what I mentioned before: a drop-down-Rig, which allows to select the fonts color from a selection of 3.
When you install it in FCPX, you get in the Inspector a drop-down menu with the three colors …
Hope, this explains the basics. –

WRONG
Here a definition, which Verbal person would understand!
Visual (spatial):You prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding. Aural (auditory-musical): You prefer using sound and music. Verbal (linguistic): You prefer using words, both in speech and writing. Physical (kinesthetic): You prefer using your body, hands and sense of touch.
Elementary
