Hello,
I want to have a sound file produce a visual audio wave.
Something like this or similar. I don't want moving bars going up or down.
getaudiogram.com/blog/how-to-make-a-soun...eo-for-social-media/

Is there a simple plugin or do I dive into Motion?
Not really sure how to do this in Motion so if you have any pointers I will manage do make it.

Thanks

I think PixelFilmStudios - there I've spoken the devil's name - has something like that. HOWEVER, the always awesome Simon Ubsdell has a good tutorial on this that should get you there:

EDIT: while Simon's tutorial shows moving bars you could use any other shapes and adjust as wanted.

Thanks.
I knew about that tutorial but he is using bars.
I'm thinking more of a sound wave.

Indeed. I don't use PFStudio.

Sure, you could reach out to Simon directly if you are stuck with adapting that technique in Motion. He's always been extremely helpful.

PFS gets a pretty bad rap from this forum. Some deservedly so as a variety of plugins are not programmed as efficiently as they could be and sometimes cause issues.. that said, they do have many good plugins that work well and are visually appealing. We use a fair amount of their lower third plugins which our clients really like. Their customer support has also improved greatly from what it used to be. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you dgwvideo - I have a whole bunch of PFS plugins that I've used in the past. I believe their support has improved too. I think PFS's bad rap goes back to the issue where they "expropriated" some content from a plugin made by motionVFX for use in their own product. For me, it's just that. The PFS plugins I have all work - just don't want to support them.
