Custom Titles won’t let me just length?

So i created a Title using Motion so that i can use it in FCPX in my projects. I created an animated lower third, one where it builds in real nice to reveal the names and such. It looks great, works great, and lasts 10 seconds. I put it in my timeline but then decide I want the title to last more than 10 seconds. So I drag the title out on the timeline to last longer.

Now I go and watch my video, and it’s actually slowed down the animation of the title to match the new duration of the clip. I don’t want this to happen. I want the animation to play out the way it should, and just extent the amount of time the title is on screen once it’s done animating.

I’ve tried to make a freeze or hold frame at the end of it, but that apparently doesn’t work with title clips.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

set a Marker after the animation, in the Projects timeline
r-click it and Edit the marker, set it to Mandatory....
