Motion render output slow audio?

Motion render output slow audio? was created by tpf1952
When working on Motion projects with a narration scratch track, everything looks and sound fine. But when I export to ProRes 422, the pitch of the narrator's voice on the rendered file is lower. Timing of the project is off. When I insert the rendered Motion clip in my FCPX timeline, the scratch track audio is stretched slightly longer than the original narration on the FCPX project timeline. Both FCPX and Motion are set up for 29.97/1920x1080. Audio files are WAV/24-bit/48,000 Hz. My exports from Motion average 2:00 min running time.

I fixed the problem, but through trial and error, not brilliance. For the benefit of anyone who might experience the same issue, here's what I did. In Motion, I de-clicked all the audio from video clips that I had imported into the Motion project, but I kept the scratch track turned on. Then rendered the project and the audio/timing of the new clip was fine.
What's odd to me is that when I acquired the footage in the field, I did not record any audio. I knew this was strictly a narration project. The footage was recorded on a PIX-E5, Pro Res, 29.97, the same FPS as everything else in the project.
