Animate letters individually using sequence text

I am trying to create a Motion Title Template (for use in FCPX). My idea is to have a title, centered, to which I add a Sequence Text behaviour. (At least I think that's the way to go).

I want each of the letters to slide into the end-position from off screen in random order and from random positions (top, bottom, left and right). Preferably in straight lines, so no diagonals.

I tried adding a Position parameter but that is not working (it just copies the entire word to a new position).

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks karsten!
That worked... a bit.
Is there any way to make the letters not move diagonally?
Thanks again!

…but?
The Text Sequencer allows - btmk - just a straight line, no curves or whatever.
OK, you could apply a diff. z-Position, to mimic a 'from eternity' effect....
But you asked for random position.....

Or, do you want to drop them 90°? …
So, the letters do NOT have a random start position, but 'hover', outside frame, above, below, left and right from its target?
....hmmm?
Not easy to create THAT in a 'universal' plugin, matching words of any 3-22 characters ……………………… :S

to be honest: found those settings partly by stupid trial'n error. :silly:

(at last: when you set the Position X to 0 , the letters drop-in from top and bottom.. But not from l/r.... )
