Important feature lost in Motion 5.3

I've just noticed an important 'feature' that I hope Apple can restore. You can no longer import Motion files into a Motion project.
I had a workflow for importing vector shapes into Motion from other vector illustration programs (eg Adobe Illustrator). Granted this was a little convoluted but it worked:
Load an Adobe Illustrator file in the app 'Graphic' (available on the App Store)
Save as a .idraw file
Open the idraw file in the app Vekpo (was under development as of January)
Save the file as a Motion file
In a new Motion file, you could then select the Motion file containing the shape and import it into the project.
This gives you fully editable vector shape within Motion. Great for maps and other complex shapes - you could then use the write on behaviour or adjust fills etc
Now that Apple has removed the file browser from Motion, it seems you can no longer drag or import Motion files into Motion files.
Does anyone have a workflow for importing vector shapes into Motion? (Not PDFs - I'm talking editable vector shapes)

Hello, and thank you for sharing.
I have been pretty amazed at how much I can create in Motion. I believe it saves me time.
Below are a few projects I have done inside of Motion from start to finish.
Please let me know what you think.
Have an amazing day!

You can have multiple Motion projects open at once, copy/paste between them.
Motion never did allow direct import of "vector" files, but if you have something in another Motion project, you can copy/paste now.

Instead of copy/paste, you can also drag the object back to the Library (like into the Favorites folder) and then import it back into any project.
