Hi,

i have a FCP title (from the motion VFX.com) in 1920x1080, but i like to use in 960x640.
The question is how can i change/rebuilt it with Motion.

Thank you

You can resize it in FCP directly.

If you want to make changes in Motion, right-click the template in FCP X, chose "Open Copy In Motion". Make changes in Motion, save it, there you go.

If you have put the VFX Title template in your ~/Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/motionVFX/ folder you can just open FCPX, select the title in your Title library and drop the title onto your FCPX 960x640 timeline. The title will automatically resize to 960x640.

If you want to resize the template in Motion and export your title: open the template in Motion and make your changes as required, leaving the project at its original size. Do not change the project size in Motion. When you have customized your template, export it at 960x640 and import the resulting file in FCP10.

Oops I didn't notice this the first time: the correct format is 960 x 540 (not 640).
960x640 is not a standard video format and it cannot be used in FCPX.

It "can" be used in FCPX, it just will have to be scaled to fit a standard frame size. ;)
