Hi, i wonder if there are anyone here that makes motion intro´s.

I do bicycle and drone videos after my brainstroke, but I miss a intro to start my movies with.
In my mind i would like a intro where a quadcopter comes flying in from one side to the center, turns against me and takes a picture (flash blink) and then turns again and flies out of the picture.

the other videos are me out bicycling on my trike, and here i would like a intro that has a trike in it.

Is this hard to make? is it possible at all?

best regards
Freddy

First, find a 3D drone and tricycle. Turbo Squid is one of the best for this. Then get mObject. Then get someone who knows how to put all of that together. Feel free to drop me a PM if you wish. But it isn't that difficult, just pricy getting the 3D object files.

Does this have to be motion graphics? Maybe it would be easier, cheaper and more effective to make a video intro and just animate your name or Youtube channel name at the end.
Video from the drone flying towards you - flying the drone combined with the shot as described in your post for instance could be pretty effective when cut together with some choice music. You could use some retiming to tighten it up.
My point is, why recreate something with graphics that you could just film in real life anyway. Are you looking for a particular look?

So, it's about you, your bike/trike and you own a drone?
What wrong to film exactly that? Dramatic editing, epic music, smashing title - done.
Why CGI?? Or did I miss something in your briefing?

if you want it more 'artificial', apply crazy filtering.
Or record yourself and the drone in greenscreen, add a painted/animated landscape.

take photos, create a reduced-to-the-max stop-motion animation

create a superzoom, start on the moon, 'til your drone lands in front of your bike....

Motion doesn't do intros - that's you and your phantasy.

(sorry, Ben, for interrupting your customer acquisition talk... ;) )

Or shoot the shot against a green screen.

hmm, thank you guys.. i needed some input like that. i do have a greenscreen in my basement and i can take a picture of the drone and the trike in front of the greenscreen.
but i am not good at making things ;) but i loved this intro: videohive.net/item/drone-opener/13814041...nk=18?ref=UglyduckBG

I make 3 types of video clips on youtube and sort them in playlists, basicly drone aerial videos and videos of houses for sales and stuff like that.. my bicycle videos with my trike is for inspire other stroke survivors that a bicycle can help them back to a better life after the stroke, and the third type of clips are more private things i do and wants to save for the future ;-)

But one intro that contains a trike and a drone can also work.

happy for suggestions ;-) but i like the idea of dramatic editing ;)

Yeah, that's a 3D model. Here's one for $59 at TurboSquid. It is a bit more high end that what is in the video you linked to. So I would assume cheaper, yet very nice, usable versions are out there somewhere.

And a $39 Inspire.

You can place an object on a turntable of some sort, in front of a green screen, and video it spinning around. Composite that onto a video or photo or graphic background. A trike is a bit bigger, but same principle could be applied if you have the ingenuity and are resourceful enough.

you can re-enact the same thing better with your existing tools:

record yourself with your drone, sitting in your trike (important: cool shades!)
then, get a lil' distance, hover behind you. then raise high (really important: a nice landscape, a nice light-situation (golden hour?), a nice pov ... that's recorded in minutes, but done in weeks...)

at home:
record you drone, hovering still, in front of greenscreen

in Motion:
animate flight-path, animate drone 'flies in', match move 3D title to drone - done.

for my taste, 'real life' instead of 'all cheap CGI' is much more impressive!

depending on what your quality standards are, that's done on a weekend… or a week :woohoo:
for example, you can spend hours with the drone4green:
real hovering = rotating propellers = whole studio blown away? or thin wiring and propellers as 'blurred something' in Motion?
adopting that camera shift of perspective, from below drone to frontal?
adopting the real life light situation, ambient light, golden 'hair' light?
... speaking of light: I would smash a ton of light leaks onto it (…how would JJ Abrams make this intro....? ) , that's actually a sign of 'Hollywood' .....

... or, completely diff. look: twilight, foggy (!), in the woods, all black/blueish, droneappears out of the grey, audio: The Horns !!
==>> for sure you do NOT record in twilight, just a cloudy day to avoid shadows; apply darkness/blueish later ...

... there are -zillions of options to create a nice intro ...
I have to admit, I don't like those all-in-one-single-shot, 'impossible camera movement' thingies .....

PS: the Inception Horns are © !!!! that was meant as a joke!
